[singlepic id=8974 w=320 h=240 float=right]The Pacific NW’s outdoor show season is fairly short due to the early fall through late spring weather usually not being cooperative. Regardless of the weather, it is a hotbed of great show vehicles, and if you don’t make it up this way, you will miss out on some serious eye candy.

Last year was one of those uncooperative years; the show all but got rained out. Around 40 hardy souls brought vehicles out and showed their support for a great club and group of people.

What a difference a year makes…

That wasn’t the case this year; sunny, 80+ degrees out, over 125 registered vehicles and tons of people checking it out. This was the 3rd year that the No Regrets WA and ID groups to put on there annual show at the XXX Root Beer in Issaquah, WA.

[singlepic id=9104 w=320 h=240 float=left]With a huge variety of vehicles showing, the crew from No Regrets had their work cut out for them during judging, and that’s the way they like it. Minitrucks, full size, hot rods, muscle cars, classics, restorations, imports, 4×4’s, and customs filled the first lot to capacity within moments of the 8am roll in. Thankfully, the location has overflow parking available.

The show was a blast to be at; between the quality rides, the great family events, getting to eat and drink a huge Root Beer float at the very last one of the XXX Root Beer Drive-Ins, and near perfect weather, you would be hard pressed to find something to not like about the show.[singlepic id=8950 w=320 h=240 float=right]

What I really like about this group, is even though judging was running a little behind schedule, they made sure the family events happened and that everyone had a great time. From the bubble gum blow off, the frozen garment contest, to the baby bottle root beer chug, and the tricycle slalom, the kids and adults had an awesome time (even competing head to head against each other).

[singlepic id=9050 w=320 h=240 float=left]With the day winding down, and the 50/50 drawing completed, the raffles were underway. This year’s raffle had a special “adult” prize that was given away as the last prize. It was a planned drawing that brought up Shane and Nancy to get their “prize”. As Nancy opened it up, it became very clear that this was no ordinary prize. There was an engagement ring inside, and Shane got down on his knees and proposed to Nancy. She said “YES!” Congratulations Shane and Nancy, you are both good and wonderful people, and I wish you many years of marriage.

After watching Shane propose to Nancy, it was time for the awards. The crew from No Regrets got busy handing out some great looking trophies. After all of the 3rd through 1st place category trophies were handed out, it was time for the really cool Best of’s and specialty trophies. If your club or name isn’t mentioned, get a hold of me so I can make the corrections.[singlepic id=9069 w=320 h=240 float=right]
